Qualifikationen

• Post-secondary diploma in Social Service Worker or Addictions and Mental Health with applicable registration.
• Peer Support Specialist certification through CACCF or other relevant qualifications.
• Experience engaging Indigenous Peoples in a community setting.
• Personal lived experience in recovery from mental health/addiction challenges.
• Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle.

• Engage clients through peer-based rapport building, active listening and empathetic conversation.
• Provide practical assistance with problem-solving, developing life skills and navigating resources.
• Support individuals in accessing mental health, housing, income, employment, education and other community services.
• Facilitate peer-led support groups, workshops and wellness activities.
• Collaborate with the primary worker and Indigenous community partners to support recovery plans.
• Promote independence and community peer development.
