Job summary

FRAFCA is seeking a Housing Support Worker to deliver culturally safe supports for Indigenous communities in the CBCHB program. You will assist recipients in private market housing, promote wellness, and coordinate with BC Housing to maintain ongoing services.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, connections to culture, and strong collaboration with service providers to support housing stability and well‑being.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community services or similar role.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities preferred.
  • Experience in housing, mental health, addiction, or crisis intervention.
  • Familiarity with community resources related to housing and supports.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver housing support services to recipients in private market housing or group settings.
  • Support system navigation and linking to wraparound services.
  • Coordinate with BC Housing to adjust services if a recipient relocates.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting for program budgets and outcomes.
  • Provide Indigenous cultural supports and multilingual, community-based supports.
  • Support family programming and community engagement activities.
