Job summary

A community service organization in Northwestern Ontario is looking for a full-time Housing First Coordinator. The successful candidate will coordinate a program designed to support Indigenous individuals at risk of homelessness, advocate for necessary services, and build essential community relationships. Candidates should have a post-secondary diploma in social work and at least 3-5 years of experience in community service delivery, along with strong communication skills and knowledge of the Housing First Approach.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience in community service delivery.
  • Proven experience providing services to Indigenous families.
  • Current, valid vulnerable sector criminal records check.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the foundation of the Housing First program.
  • Advocate for Indigenous people at risk of homelessness.
  • Establish relationships with community service providers.
