Job summary
A community service organization in Northwestern Ontario is looking for a full-time Housing First Coordinator. The successful candidate will coordinate a program designed to support Indigenous individuals at risk of homelessness, advocate for necessary services, and build essential community relationships. Candidates should have a post-secondary diploma in social work and at least 3-5 years of experience in community service delivery, along with strong communication skills and knowledge of the Housing First Approach.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience in community service delivery.
Proven experience providing services to Indigenous families.
Current, valid vulnerable sector criminal records check.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the foundation of the Housing First program.
Advocate for Indigenous people at risk of homelessness.
Establish relationships with community service providers.
