Zusammenfassung

Alto is seeking an Advisor, Indigenous engagement to build and maintain respectful relationships with Indigenous communities in Ontario and Québec. The role emphasizes strategy development, collaboration with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory consultation requirements.

You will support community engagement projects, manage consultations, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management, while traveling as needed to engage with communities and stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor degree in Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences, Public Relations, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Indigenous relations, community engagement, or related field.
• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly collaborative with leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to fostering respect and understanding of Indigenous cultures and traditions.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Proficiency in either English or French; bilingual is an asset.

• Relationship Building: develop and maintain strong, respectful relationships with Indigenous communities.
• Indigenous Community Engagement: manage consultations, fieldwork, and collaboration activities in Ontario or Québec.
• Strategy Implementation & Leadership: develop and execute the Indigenous engagement strategy with internal teams.
• Partnership & Issue Management: develop partnership strategies and issue management plans.
• Socio-Economic Development & Capacity-Building: identify and support development opportunities and capacity-building programs.
• Reporting & Strategic Advice: prepare briefing notes, meeting minutes, and reports for management.
• Logistics & Engagement Activities: organize workshops, information sessions, and consultations.
• Collaboration with Partners & Consultants: coordinate with development partners to meet consultation requirements.
