Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Manager, Indigenous Employment to connect Indigenous candidates with employment, training and career development opportunities across our Canadian operations. You’ll build community relationships, represent Dexterra at events, support candidates on their path to employment, and collaborate with Recruitment and Operations to align outreach with workforce needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Indigenous relations, recruitment outreach, workforce development, community engagement, employment services or a related area.
• Experience with Indigenous communities, organizations and leadership across Canada.
• Experience with recruitment, candidate outreach or employment services; understanding of recruitment and pre-employment processes.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with record keeping, activity tracking and deadlines.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; adapt communication style to diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel across Canada and attend occasional evening/weekend events.
• French-language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, leadership, training providers and employment partners.
• Lead Indigenous candidate outreach and develop talent pipelines for current and future opportunities.
• Represent Dexterra at community events, career fairs, conferences, hiring events and client meetings.
• Connect candidates with employment opportunities and support them through recruitment and pre-employment processes.
• Identify and promote training, apprenticeship, mentorship and workforce-readiness opportunities.
• Partner with Recruitment and Operations to align outreach with workforce requirements.
• Plan and coordinate recruitment events, community engagement activities and presentations.
• Maintain accurate records of referrals, outreach, engagement and outcomes.
• Prepare timely reports and presentations for leadership, clients and government stakeholders.
