Job summary

UNSW invites applications for Associate Dean Indigenous Education and Student Success in the Faculty of Science. The role shapes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education, leads curriculum integration, and advances student engagement while balancing teaching, research and leadership duties.

The appointment is up to two years with a fractional leadership load (0.5–0.8 FTE) and ongoing academic appointment. Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor levels may be offered.

Qualifications

• Indigenous identity and community connection preferred
• Experience in teaching, curriculum development, or educational leadership
• Leadership experience in higher education or related sectors

Responsibilities

• Lead Indigenous education and student success across the Faculty of Science
• Embed Indigenous Knowledges in curriculum and pedagogy
• Contribute to teaching and research alongside leadership duties
• Collaborate with Indigenous staff to strengthen shared leadership
