Job summary

Westbank First Nation seeks an Indigenous Supported Child Development (ISCD) Support Worker to assist children and youth aged 0–19 with developmental delays and/or disabilities in home, childcare, school, and community settings. The ISCD/IEYO Consultant team partners to promote inclusive participation and meaningful daily activities.

Reporting to the ISCD Manager, you will implement individualized strategies, collaborate with families, document progress, and contribute to culturally safe

Qualifications

• Diploma in ECE with Special Needs or related field.
• Experience supporting children with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Experience with Indigenous communities is an asset.
• Criminal Record Check and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and consultants to support children and youth in daily activities and learning.
• Implement individualized strategies and therapeutic recommendations to support developmental goals.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support in various settings (home, school, childcare, community).
• Support development of social, emotional, communication, and self-help skills.
• Document observations and progress for ISCD/IEYO Consultants and team meetings.
• Maintain accurate records in line with provincial requirements and WFN policies.
