Job summary

The Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle is seeking a dedicated individual to support Indigenous community members in accessing services. This role involves collaboration with the Aging Well Team to improve services for the aging Indigenous community across Simcoe County and York Region.

The successful candidate will bring strong organizational skills, relevant experience in cultural programming, and a commitment to Indigenous governance and community direction. Qualifications

• Minimum five years related experience working with cultural programming/long term care.
• Valid drivers’ license required.
• Experience using the Lone Worker Safety App.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support the Aging Well Team in providing Indigenous support services.
• Establish collaborative relationships with Indigenous communities.
• Provide clients with information and advocacy.
• Respond to community needs around the Aging Well program.
