Job Description

Home Support Proprietor (Caregiver) – Complex Needs & Behavioural Support

Are you compassionate, patient, and skilled at supporting adult individuals with unique and complex care needs?
We are seeking dedicated Home Caregivers to provide person‑centred support for clients with medical needs, developmental disabilities, and complex behavioral profiles.

We are looking for both full‑time and respite providers.

About the Role

As a Home Support Caregiver, you will help clients live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in your home environment. You will support a person who is living with your home and will work together with families and professionals to provide behavioural support, daily living assistance, and community inclusion.

This is not an employment position with Catholic Social Services. You will function as an Independent Contractor, and the Agency will support to you to meet standards of care in accordance with pertinent and applicable policies and procedures when caring for persons with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

These will vary on the needs of the individual:

• Implement behaviour support strategies and follow individual care plans.
• Support clients with communication challenges, emotional regulation, and daily routines.
• Maintain a safe, predictable environment and respond calmly during escalations.
• Complete a monthly report and communicate regularly with family members or supervisors.
• Encourage independence, social engagement, and meaningful activities.

• Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and consistent during challenging situations
