Job summary

PVNCCDSB invites applications for an Educational Assistant on a long-term assignment. The role involves assisting with instructional programs, providing student support and helping with personal care as needed. You will help implement IEPs and contribute to data collection for progress tracking in a school setting.

Applicants should have OSSD and a relevant EA program, plus experience with supporting diverse learners. Knowledge of Google Suite and classroom technologies is required.

Qualifications

• Requires OSSD and two years of specialized EA training or equivalent.
• Familiarity with school policies on Medication and Special Services.
• Experience supporting students with diverse needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in accessing instructional programs and supervising students.
• Provide personal and hygienic care as needed and administer medications.
• Support therapy, behaviour management or training programs as directed.
• Help prepare instructional materials and track student progress.
• Participate in IEPs, IPRC meetings and related conferences when required.
• Assist with school bus or taxi loading/unloading and supervision.
• Operate classroom tech (Google Suite, projectors) and AV equipment.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and community partners.
• Record and report data for progress monitoring and reviews.
