School District No. 57 serves approximately 13,000 students in 39 schools across a vast area from Mackenzie in the north, through Prince George, west to Cluculz Lake, south to Hixon, and east to McBride and Valemount, reaching the Alberta border. The district employs approximately 2,000 staff, making it one of the largest employers outside of the Lower Mainland.

School District No. 57 is located on the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nations, McLeod Lake Indian Band, and the Simpcw First Nations. We serve 41 schools including elementary, secondary, and a district learning support center, providing educational programs for approximately 15,000 students. We support Indigenous students through Local Education Agreements, co-constructing educational services with each Nation.
