A family in Medicine Hat is seeking an Inclusion Support Worker to assist their adult son in fostering community relationships and independence. The ideal candidate is patient, kind, and enjoys engaging in a variety of activities, including attending local events. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the community, with flexible hours 2-3 days a week.
Are you a creative and imaginative person with a knack for connecting to community? Are you a natural leader with strong mentorship abilities? Do you have a great sense of humour? Do you love the idea of supporting an adult with a disability to thrive in community and in relationships? If so, I would love to meet you!
I am currently recruiting an Inclusion Support Worker for my adult son to foster relationships in the community. I need your help to ensure that he continually finds ways to expand his world by meeting new people, trying new things, and exploring interests.
The successful candidate will be directly employed by me (through PDD Family Managed Supports). The rate of pay is between $20 and $22 per hour. I am looking for someone who can commit 2 or 3 days a week, and also someone interested in evening community hours (e.g., Tigers games, college basketball games, listening to bands, playing pool, etc.). For the right candidate(s), this would be a highly rewarding opportunity. References and record checks will be required.
