Qualicare Calgary Homecare is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our team as Health Care Aide (HCA) / Caregivers in RED DEER. We provide home care services focused on enhancing the quality of life for our clients and offering peace of mind to their families.

Job Summary

The HCA is part of the home care team, working under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to perform various personal care services to meet clients' needs.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with personal care and hygiene
2. Prepare meals
3. Perform light housekeeping
4. Accompany clients on outings
5. Handle shopping and errands
6. Assist with medication reminders
7. Support ambulation and transport of clients
8. Provide companionship
9. Follow care plans accurately
10. Complete documentation and charting

Qualifications

• HCA certificate or equivalent (e.g., foreign-trained nurse, nursing student)
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Class 5 Driver's License and access to a vehicle
• Access to the Internet and a mobile phone
