Job summary

Calm Air International LP in Rankin Inlet, NU, is seeking a Cargo Counter Clerk (Inbound) to join our team on a casual, on-site basis. You will support cargo operations with customers, process shipments, and ensure accurate paperwork and storage.

This role requires reliability, a willingness to learn, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. We value integrity and teamwork; the successful candidate will handle inbound freight, assist with audits, and maintain confidentiality while delivering friendly

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education is an asset.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Criminal reference check and security clearance required.
• Inuktitut and/or Inuinnaqtun language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer the telephone and receive customers at the Cargo Office.
• Provide information on rates, routing, aircraft limits and acceptance requirements.
• Prepare Dangerous Goods cargo as freight is received.
• Receive, tag and complete all paperwork for freight and ensure it is stored according to product type.
• Complete morning audits and forward to the Cargo Manager.
• Complete month/year-end reports.
• Maintain the inbound area in warehouse to ensure delivery or pickup.
• Respect and maintain confidentiality of information.
• Other duties as assigned.
