CANADIAN ROYALTIES INC. is seeking a Rock Mechanics Engineer to provide field support and instrumentation oversight for underground mine operations. You will work under the Chief Mining Engineer, ensuring health and safety while meeting departmental objectives.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mining or Geological Engineering, 2+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with MS Office and Deswik. A valid driver's license and explosives handling permit (FMTM modules 1–7) are required.
The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks paid i.e., 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks paid to rest.
Reporting to the Chief Mining Engineer, the Rock Mechanics Engineer will collaborate with various departments at the mining site to provide technical support in rock mechanics for underground mines operations. The candidate will be responsible for field support and instrumentation tasks. They will ensure that departmental objectives are met while promoting health and safety in their activities.
