Job Overview

In this role, you will serve as an In Vivo Technician for our Toxicology team in Sherbrooke (QC). You will be responsible for ensuring the welfare of laboratory animals and maintaining the integrity of our pre‑clinical studies, supporting the team in administering test drugs, collecting data, and monitoring study conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform technical tasks such as administration of test drugs and blood sampling.
  • Observe animals and capture study data, including body weight and food consumption.
  • Maintain animal living conditions and manage room cleaning and animal handling procedures in line with industry welfare standards.
Qualifications
  • College diploma in Animal Health, Environmental and Wildlife Management, Biotechnology, or a bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related Animal Science discipline.
  • Proficiency in written English.
  • Strong observation skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, and stoop as required.
Role Specific Information
  • Transportation: easily accessed via Sherbrooke public transit; free on‑site parking; electric vehicle charging station available.
  • Evening work rate: $2.50 per hour.
  • Weekend work rate: $2.75 per hour.
  • Overtime: time and a half.
  • Holiday pay: double time.
  • Annual performance‑based bonus.
  • Schedule: full time, permanent position (37.5 hours per week) with potential overtime and rotating weekend assignments.
