Job summary

Sobeys Calgary is seeking a Bakery Production Assistant to join our bakery team. You’ll work with experienced staff to deliver fresh artisan breads, pastries, cookies and muffins while providing personal service that helps customers.

You’ll handle donuts, ovens, product prep, merchandising, receiving orders, cleaning and safety. The role rewards speed, attention to detail, teamwork and a friendly, customer-focused approach; evening and weekend shifts are common and reliable scheduling is

• Receive and put away product orders
• Cleaning and sanitizing of bakery equipment
• Receiving and rotating of baked product
• Filling Bakery showcases

Physical Requirements (Seldom: Not Daily, Rare: 0-5% of shift, Occasional: 6-33% of shift, Frequent: 34-66% of shift, Constant: 66-100% of shift)

• Frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds
• Frequent hand coordination, bending pushing, pulling and twisting
• Occasional lifting of between 20-50 lbs including waist level and low level lifts
• Constant standing, walking, gripping, reaching
