Job summary

Billyard Insurance Group Mississauga East is hiring an in-house insurance broker to drive new business and manage relationships with clients. You will build a personal book of business, quote and process applications, and collaborate with partners across Ontario.

We offer a base salary plus commissions, access to multiple partners, and ongoing training in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. Flexible work options include hybrid and remote once established.

Qualifications

• Valid RIBO license is required.
• Experience in personal or commercial lines is a strong asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with PowerBroker and Applied Rating Services is a plus.
• Strong sales mindset with a focus on new business generation is a strong asset.
• Confidence in outreach, networking, marketing yourself, and relationship-building.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse clients.
• Highly self-motivated and results driven mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Job Description

This is a sales-driven role for individuals who want to take control of their income and performance.

We’re looking for self-motivated brokers who are confident generating their own leads, building referral networks, and consistently bringing in new business. If you’re someone who thrives on performance, accountability, and growth, you’ll do well here.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the sales process, including preparing competitive quotes, processing applications, and overseeing policy renewals using advanced tools like PowerBroker and Applied Rating Services.
• Build strong client relationships to generate referrals, secure new business, and grow your book of business.
• Apply market-specific underwriting standards to ensure accurate and compliant policy offerings.
• Assess clients’ insurance needs and recommend tailored coverage solutions from a wide range of personal and commercial products.
• Consistently achieve monthly sales goals while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Promote insurance to potential clients through various channels, including networking and digital outreach.
• Negotiate with insurance providers to secure optimal policy terms and pricing for clients.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues with expertise and care.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and industry expertise.
• Develop and maintain a network of Centers of Influence (COIs) to boost lead generation and refine marketing/sales strategies.

Skills And Qualifications
