Job summary

Neskonlith in Chase, BC is seeking a Home Health Care Aide Worker for a full-time fixed term position. The role offers 35 hours per week with a schedule including core hours 8:30-4:00 PM and flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Reporting to the Director of Health, compensation is $52,780-$59,150 CAD annually. Primary responsibilities include providing personal care, supporting health, safety and comfort, and collaborating with the health care team to meet care plans.

Qualifications

• Must have a Long Term Care Aide/Home Care Certificate or equivalent experience.
• Preferably experience in Aboriginal environment.
• Must have a valid BC driver’s license and own transportation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good mediation, advocacy and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health-support services per care plan.
• Promote safety, independence, comfort and well-being of clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families and team members.
• Collaborate with health care team to ensure safe, ethical care.
• Observe and document client conditions according to standards.
