Job summary

AdaptAbilities in Edmonton, AB, seeks a Community Specialist (In-Home) to provide direct respite and disability support to an adult participant in West Edmonton. This key role helps individuals live independently and belong in their community.

This permanent full-time position requires a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and a 45-hour work week with varied shifts. CPR/First Aid and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; no extensive experience needed.
• Aligned with AdaptAbilities core purpose and values.
• Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check on hire.
• CPR Level C and AED certification required on hire.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work hours.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Abuse Prevention are assets.
• Strong boundaries and de-escalation skills are assets.
