Job summary

The Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority in Manitoba is seeking a Home Care Attendant at the Ashern Community Health Office. This part-time, 0.8 FTE position reports to the Home Care Resource Coordinator and works as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide personal and supportive care as per the care plan.

You will help clients stay independent at home, promote holistic health care, and collaborate with other health team members.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Health Care Aide Course from an accredited college.
• Previous experience working with elderly or infirm is preferred.
• Ability to provide safe, personal care with comfort, privacy and respect.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families and coworkers; both verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
• Candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts.
• Satisfactory employment record.
