We are seeking an experienced Import Coordinator to manage and optimize our import operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Based in Lachine, Quebec, this role involves overseeing import documentation, ensuring customs compliance, and coordinating international shipments. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate data entry in SAP, training support, and effective communication with global suppliers and logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assign tasks among team members
• Enter sales contract data into SAP
• Identify and resolve complex import-related issues
• Conduct initial training for new employees and updates on revised procedures and SAP
• Create and convert purchase orders and new product articles in the ERP system
• Perform data analysis and prepare reports
• Communicate effectively with vendors
• Determine the most suitable shipping methods based on Incoterms
• Optimize and consolidate cargo by converting measurements for volume and weight
• Confirm shipment details including time, pricing, and quantities with suppliers

Qualifications:

• DEC in Logistics or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in import operations
• Proficient in SAP and general computer applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (English and French) preferred

Typical Responsibilities:

• Managing import documentation (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices)
• Ensuring customs compliance and proper use of Incoterms
