Job summary

Aspire is seeking a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist to support neurodivergent children through consultation, assessment and potential direct intervention across Central Alberta, including Red Deer and surrounding areas.

You will work with families and school teams to promote language, articulation and social skills, develop individualized plans, and deliver services in homes, schools or community settings.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with schools and families to support language, articulation, social interaction and play skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices and current research, particularly related to autism spectrum disorder.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic workload.
  • Willingness to contribute to the growth of the team.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office 365 and database applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support neurodivergent children through consultation, assessment, and intervention.
  • Build capacity with parents, teachers, and school staff.
  • Provide support to children to strengthen language, articulation, social interaction, and play skills within home, school, and community contexts.
  • Develop individual program plans and support implementation.
  • Provide practical, strength-based strategies to promote child development.
  • Complete standardized assessments, screening tools, and written reports.
  • Collaborate with families and educational teams to support identified goals.
  • Deliver direct therapy when appropriate.
