Job summary

Abilities Centre is seeking a Program Instructor for Thrive Adult Day Programs in Whitby. The role involves designing and delivering inclusive workshop curriculum, using a Universal Design for Learning framework, and supporting participant documentation and progress.

You will work closely with Thrive Leads and instructors to implement engaging, skill-building activities that align with our four pillars: social engagement, sports and movement, life skills, and arts.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in social services or related field.
• Experience delivering programs for people with disabilities using a UDL framework.
• Familiar with case management, behaviour management, curriculum development, and program design/evaluation.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop workshop curriculum in collaboration with participants and Thrive Leads.
• Facilitate workshops using a Universal Design for Learning framework.
• Support documentation including ISPs, progress notes, and participant records.
