Job summary

Providence Health Care in British Columbia seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care for an assigned group of patients/residents within a client- and family-centred care model.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, develop care plans, conduct assessments, implement interventions, and document care while supporting orientation of new staff. Current CPR and BC licensing are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse program and BCCNM registration.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• One year recent urban health experience with addiction, HIV/AIDS or Indigenous populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients per policies and Standards of Practice.
• Develop and implement care plans and assess patient needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and communicate with RN/RPN.
• Document care and transcribe orders accurately.
• Administer medications per procedures and monitor effects.
• Participate in care conferences and staff orientation.
