Job summary

Conestoga Cold Storage Ltd. is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to advance our safety program across six locations in Canada.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will develop policies, deliver training, conduct audits, and drive a culture where safety is integrated into daily operations. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in Occupational Health and Safety, deep knowledge of provincial regulations, and strong data analysis skills; French is an asset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety, with focus on onboarding, training, and safety programs in manufacturing, warehousing or logistics.
• Demonstrated proficiency of provincial Occupational Health and Safety legislation and regulations Ontario, Alberta and Quebec.
• In-depth knowledge of provincial Workers' Compensation Boards, including CNESST, WSIB, and WCB requirements and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure compliance for overall health and safety program across the organization.
• Lead root-cause analyses and investigations for workplace incidents and ensure corrective action plans are completed.
• Conduct workplace hazard assessments, safety walkthroughs, and facility audits to identify and address risks.
