Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) Campbell River is seeking a Community Occupational Therapist to deliver OT services in the community setting, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and educate clients and caregivers on rehabilitation strategies.

In this casual, multi-site role, you will travel between sites, work with referred clients, and contribute to patient safety and quality care. A BC driver’s license and current OT registration are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an OT program; active BC registration.
• Eligible for CAOT membership.
• Minimum two years post-graduate OT experience.
• Community-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to referred clients.
• Consult with caregivers and families.
• Educate clients, caregivers, staff and community on rehabilitation interventions.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary health care team.
