Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) invites applications for a casual Occupational Therapist across multiple LTC sites. You will assess, develop, implement and evaluate therapy care plans for residents, coordinating with teams to ensure safe, person-centered care.

The role requires BC licensure, CAOT eligibility, and travel between sites. Two years' related experience is preferred. Start date Aug. 17, 2026, with shifts 08:00-16:00 and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy.
• Two years of recent related experience.
• Eligible for membership in CAOT.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, implement and evaluate therapy care plans for residents.
• Provide clinical work direction and coordinate tasks for care.
• Instruct Rehabilitation Assistants with transfer of function.
