Job summary

Georgian Bay Mnidoo Gamii Biosphere (GBB) seeks an Advisor to lead the Climate & Energy Portfolio in Parry Sound, Ontario, with hybrid work options. The role focuses on developing ICECAP partnerships, data analysis, and implementing GHG reduction and climate adaptation plans for municipalities and First Nations.

The successful candidate will manage portfolios, seek funding, engage partners, and advance regional energy management and climate initiatives while upholding GBB’s UNESCO Biosphere

Qualifications

• Requires post-secondary degree in business, environmental science, environmental planning, engineering, or related field.
• Preference 2–5 years municipal government or climate/energy program experience.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or CMVP are assets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, and evaluate impact of one of the organization’s 6 main portfolios.
• Develop and track portfolio strategies and goals in consultation with management.
• Direct projects/contracts to ensure deliverables, including financial management and grants.
• Write grants, develop quotes, plans, and project reports.
• Supervise staff and maintain partnerships while upholding UNESCO mandate.
