Job summary

Norbec is seeking an Electromechanic to respond to emergency service calls related to production and building equipment. The role involves organizing tasks and prioritizing daily maintenance objectives within the team, with opportunities to implement improvements and optimize equipment performance.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the candidate will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic work while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• DEP/DEC in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics required.
• Experience levels: Junior 0–3 years, Intermediate 3–5 years, Senior 5+ years.
• Programming knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot, modify, and inspect mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment in the plant.
• Follow safety procedures during interventions.
• Respond promptly to service calls from operators and supervisors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders in the CMMS.
• Analyze problems, propose solutions, and implement interventions.
• Conduct durable repairs and implement modifications to prevent recurrence.
• Suggest improvements to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot, modify, and inspect a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment within the plant efficiently and independently;
• Follow safety procedures and standards during all interventions;
• Respond promptly to service calls from operators and supervisors;
• Perform preventive maintenance activities and complete predefined work orders in the maintenance management system;
• Analyze and diagnose problems within their area of expertise, propose solutions, and carry out appropriate interventions;
• Conduct effective and durable repairs with awareness of related implications;
• Master recurring repairs on plant equipment and implement modifications to eliminate repeated issues;
• Propose improvement ideas to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.

Required Education And Experience

• DEP or DEC in Electromechanics of Automated Systems or Industrial Mechanics;
• Required experience:
