Job summary

Sunnybrook invites applications for a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Nursing Resource Team. You will collaborate with the health care team, patients and families across level II and level III ICUs, performing assessments, interventions, education and advocacy for critically ill patients.

Must maintain professional standards, engage in ongoing education, and adapt to staffing needs with a patient-centred care focus in line with Sunnybrook's Mission and Values.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Current BCLS certificate required; ACLS certificate preferred.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• CNCC(C) an asset.
• Critical Care Certificate essential in lieu of related critical care experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development within the past 2 years with emphasis on critical care.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment; able to manage multiple demands and changing priorities.
• Demonstrated effective ability in interpersonal relationships; oral and written communication skills; organizational skills; priority setting; problem solving; decision making; facilitating teamwork; conflict resolution.
• Ability to integrate and apply critical thinking skills to patient care.
• Ability to handle stressful environment in a positive manner.
• Ability to function independently and as a part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility with unit assignments.
