Job summary

BUILD Recruitment Inc. is seeking a Site Superintendent to coordinate daily site activities, ensure compliance with contract documents, and manage schedules and quality standards on multiple sites in Toronto, Ontario.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on supervision of field staff, with a focus on health, safety, and progress tracking. A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field is preferred along with relevant on-site experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; diploma/degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities are essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day site activities to meet contract documents, schedules, and quality standards.
• Support health, safety, and environmental compliance including orientations, inspections, and safety talks.
• Manage and document site activities (logs, hours, materials, equipment, deliveries).
• Assist with project scheduling (MS Project), risk management, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and authorities to address site challenges and maintain progress.
• Supervise, mentor, and coach field staff while promoting a safe, productive environment.

• Supervise, mentor, and coach field staff while promoting a safe and productive work environment.

What you bring:

• High school diploma required; diploma/degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field preferred
• 6+ years of progressive on-site construction supervision experience
• Knowledge of construction documents, regulations, and safety practices
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites
