Job summary

Badger Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Hydrovac Operator to safely operate hydrovac equipment, excavate with precision, and support various construction projects across Canada. You will manage high-pressure water and vacuum systems to uncover utilities and maintain strict safety practices.

Role includes driving hydrovac trucks, performing inspections, attending safety meetings, and completing duties with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must have valid 1, 3 or DZ license (A-D license in Ontario) with airbrake endorsement
• First aid, Ground Disturbance and CSTS preferred (other safety tickets may be required depending on location)
• Preferred experience driving a manual transmission (10-18 speed)
• Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Must be able to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds and perform manual labor in varying weather
• Prior hydrovac equipment operation or related industrial experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operating hydrovac equipment and performing hydrovac duties in various environments, including confined spaces
• Driving hydrovac trucks (10-15% of total work time)
• Attending safety meetings
• Performing routine inspections and minor repairs of the hydrovac equipment
• Preparing work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing hazards
• Documenting and reporting all Badger, Federal, Provincial, and Customer paperwork accurately
