Badger Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Hydrovac Operator to join our team in Canada. You will use high-pressure water and vacuum systems to dig precisely, uncover utilities, and support diverse construction projects.

Qualifications

• Must have Valid 1, 3 or DZ license with airbrake endorsement.
• First aid, Ground Disturbance and CSTS preferred (other safety tickets may be required).
• Experience driving manual transmission (10–18 speed) is preferred.
• Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.
• Must lift 50+ pounds and handle physical labor in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydrovac equipment and perform duties in varied environments, including confined spaces.
• Drive hydrovac trucks (10–15% of total work time).
• Attend safety meetings and participate in daily safety practices.
• Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of equipment.
• Prepare work areas with safety measures and address hazards.
• Document and report paperwork accurately to Badger, and regulatory bodies.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Operating hydrovac equipment and performing hydrovac duties in a variety of working environments, including confined spaces
• Driving our hydrovac trucks (10-15% of total work time)
• Attending safety meetings
• Performing routine inspections and minor repairs of the hydrovac equipment
• Preparing work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards
• Documenting and reporting all Badger, Federal, Provincial, and Customer paperwork accurately and efficiently

What We're Looking For:

• Must have Valid 1, 3 or DZ license (A-D license in Ontario) with airbrake endorsement
• First aid, Ground Disturbance and CSTS preferred (other safety tickets including but not limited to Fall protection, H2S alive and Confined Spaces may also be required depending on location)
• Preferred experience driving a manual transmission (10-18 speed) without automatic restrictions
• Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours
• Must be willing to travel up to 25%
• Must be able to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds and have the physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions
• Prior hydrovac equipment operation or related industrial experience preferred
