Job summary

Wajax is seeking a Service Technician responsible for evaluating and diagnosing breakages and repairing hydraulic components. You will dismantle and inspect parts, document measurements, and ensure rebuild quality.

The role requires hands-on experience with heavy-duty tools, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly within a team. Applicants should value safety and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanics, Hydraulics, Millwright, or equivalent experience.
• Fluid Power Training, an asset.
• Basic machining knowledge (lathe, milling machine).
• Fabrication experience and basic electrical knowledge considered an asset.
• Strong working knowledge of heavy-duty tools and equipment.
• Must be mechanically inclined with a good learning capacity.
• Ability to communicate technical issues effectively.
• Service and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and inspect components and prepare a detailed service report with measurements.
• Build, repair, service, and troubleshoot hydraulic components.
• Test rebuilds to ensure acceptable results.
• Maintain a clean shop and safe work environment; perform maintenance duties as required.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Take on additional responsibilities as requested.
