Job summary

Wajax is seeking a Service Technician to evaluate, diagnose and repair hydraulic components. The role focuses on dismantling, inspecting, and reporting measurements for components, plus building, repairing and testing hydraulic systems.

The ideal candidate has a mechanics/hydraulics background, machining knowledge, fabrication experience, and strong communication. Join a team focused on safety and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanics, Hydraulics, Millwright, or equivalent experience.
  • Fluid Power Training is an asset.
  • Basic machining knowledge (lathe, milling) is required.
  • Fabrication experience and basic electrical knowledge are assets.
  • Strong working knowledge of heavy-duty tools and equipment.
  • Must be mechanically inclined with good learning capacity.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues effectively.
  • Service and team orientation.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Opportunity

The Service Technician is primarily responsible for evaluating and diagnosing causes for breakages, repairing hydraulic components.

The Role
  • Complete dismantle and inspection of components, as well as complete a comprehensive service report with accurate measurements related to these components.
  • Build, repair, service, and troubleshoot various hydraulic components.
  • Tests rebuild components or systems to acceptable results.
  • Always maintain cleanliness of shop and work area to ensure the maintenance of a safe work environment, performing various cleaning and maintenance duties as required
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Additional responsibilities, as requested.
The Candidate
