Job summary

Assisted Living Alberta seeks a Director, Social Work to lead social work services across Calgary, Central, Southeast, Southwest and Continuing Care Homes. You will shape strategy, ensure high quality care, and drive performance through collaborations with clinical partners and stakeholders.

This role requires a Master’s degree and 7+ years of executive healthcare leadership, with a focus on patient- and family-centered care and continuous improvement. Hybrid work is negotiable within Alberta.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in a health profession, Social Work, health administration, education, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare organization of similar size and complexity.
• Clinical experience and leadership of multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites or regions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Social Work across Calgary, Central, Southeast, Southwest corridors and Continuing Care Homes.
• Oversee service planning, delivery, and performance to ensure quality care and outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinical partners, planning, quality, and contracted providers to drive excellence.
