Job summary

Reliable Controls is seeking a Software Product Owner in Victoria, BC, to translate customer and internal needs into clear development plans. You will define priorities, collaborate with development, UI/UX, and architecture teams, and guide the product through the Scrum process to meet customer and business objectives.

You will lead cross-functional teams, balance architecture with business needs, and drive product adoption while delivering high-quality customer-facing content.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Product Manager, Product Owner or similar role.
• 2+ years of software development experience and SDLC understanding.
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Management, or related field.
• Experience in Agile development environments and working with software teams.
• Strong product judgment to prioritize and deliver customer value.

Responsibilities

• Define product positioning and value proposition.
• Represent customer, stakeholder, and market needs throughout the development cycle.
• Maintain timelines, milestones, risks and delivery commitments.
• Provide leadership to development teams.
• Balance architecture, technical design and business needs.
• Own product messaging and ensure consistency across communications.
• Plan and manage development work using JIRA and other PM tools.
• Plan and execute product launches with key stakeholders.
• Drive adoption, engagement, and continuous improvement.
