Job summary

Geotab, a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, is seeking a Software Developer Intern to work with the MyGeotab Reporting and Authentication team to collaborate, develop and troubleshoot cases that directly impact how our customers interact with our application.

You will design robust and scalable software solutions, work with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and write automated unit tests using XUnit in C#.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with developing applications for a Linux environment.
• Experience with object-oriented design, unit testing, optimization and multithreaded programming (C# and .Net preferred).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and Product team to improve and implement features for Reporting and Authentication.
• Design software solutions and troubleshoot bugs; communicate deadlines.
• Develop UI components using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Develop automated unit tests using XUnit in C#.
• Develop software using C# on .Net Core.
• Create database access code using SQL queries and Postgres database.
• Participate in peer reviews and documentation.
