Job summary

MANTU GROUP SA in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, is seeking a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) Engineer to design, develop and execute electrical and instrumentation systems for industrial and water treatment facilities. Hybrid work mode and a senior compensation band accompany the role.

The successful candidate will lead complex design activities, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support FATs and commissioning as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical and industrial control system design.
• Strong experience designing complex low-voltage industrial control systems per UL and CEC standards.
• Experience designing control panels and equipment for Class I Division 2 hazardous locations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Valid driver's license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and instrumentation designs for industrial and water treatment facilities.
• Prepare and maintain instrument lists, datasheets, drawings, termination drawings, and installation details.
• Design low-voltage industrial control systems in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Create and review single-line diagrams, load lists, I/O lists, panel layouts, schematics, and network architectures.
• Select instrumentation and electrical equipment with a focus on safety and reliability.
• Design control panels and specify equipment for hazardous locations, including Class I Division 2 environments.
• Review, interpret, and provide input on P&IDs, GAs, design guidelines, and specifications.
• Interpret customer and contract requirements and ensure designs meet project specs.
• Perform engineering calculations and prepare supporting technical documentation.
• Manage engineering scope, budget, and schedule; identify risks and opportunities.
• Support production and commissioning teams during project execution.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional engineering discussions and project meetings.
• Support proposal and bid activities with technical input.
• Participate in FATs and provide commissioning support when required.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and customers for successful delivery.
