Thales Avionics, Inc. (AGS) in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Development Engineer (Software, Firmware) to deliver complex embedded projects. You will blend deep technical expertise with leadership to fulfill customer demands and drive product excellence.

Responsibilities include delivering GA features, shaping architectures, and mentoring engineering teams while collaborating with cross-functional partners in a hybrid Kanata-Ottawa setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Math, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on Software and firmware Engineering Experience preferably in cybersecurity.
• 5+ years of expertise with C/C++ and a solid understanding of embedded systems, and hardware interfaces.
• Extensive working knowledge in Linux.
• Experience in software and firmware design, security concepts and micro services.
• CI/CD (GIT, CI/CD, Jenkins/Gitlab pipelines)
• Strong knowledge and experience in software development life cycle, agile methodology, and architectural principles.

• Technical Contribution: Contribute to the development of robust, scalable product architectures (firmware, software).

• Engineering Mentorship: Lead by example, code reviews, and share best practices across teams.
• Problem Solving and Collaboration: Address technical challenges and coordinate across teams to meet milestones.
