Job summary

Scene+ in Toronto is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to shape our cloud-native data ecosystem. You will build and optimize pipelines and governance for analytics, loyalty insights, and partner data across millions of members.

You will collaborate across analytics, marketing, product, and governance teams to accelerate insights, improve data quality, and modernize our data platform with Snowflake, AWS, Matillion, and dbt. This is a hybrid on-site role three days per week.

Qualifications

• Seasoned data engineer with scalable data pipelines and governance.
• Experience with Snowflake, Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (prefer AWS).
• Hands-on ETL/ELT tooling (Matillion or dbt) and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Architect production-grade data pipelines and ensure performance, resilience, and scalability.
• Champion data governance, metadata, lineage, and access controls.
• Collaborate with analytics, marketing, product, and governance teams to enable analytics and data science.
• Lead modernization of CI/CD, observability, and data architecture across the org.
