Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Private Equity Associate in Kimberley (Canada). You will participate in the full investment cycle from sourcing to portfolio company management within a hybrid work model that balances office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in finance with strong modeling, valuation, and deal execution skills, plus excellent communication and negotiation abilities to support a dynamic investment team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
• 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or private equity.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent understanding of financial statements, capital markets, and transaction processes.
• High professionalism, work ethic, and ability to work under pressure.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities across sectors.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence on targets.
• Assist in structuring and negotiation of investment terms and documentation.
• Support monitoring and strategic management of portfolio companies to drive value.
• Prepare investment committee memos and presentations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry contacts and management teams.
