Job summary

CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a Media Production Systems Architect (Telework/Hybrid) to design and plan future media infrastructure for CBC’s production systems across TV, radio and web. You will work with stakeholders to translate needs into robust strategies and roadmaps, and to drive high-availability architectures 24/7.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or IT, 4+ years of relevant experience, and strong English/French bilingual skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or an IT related degree; P.Eng. qualification is a strong asset.
• Four or more years of media, broadcast technologies architecture or design experience.
• Experience with new and emerging media technologies (DMF, MXL, SMPTE-2110).
• Hands-on with media production platforms (Avid Interplay MAM, Dalet, Adobe Suite) and related software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and implement CBC/Radio-Canada media production systems (PAM, MAM, studios).
• Collaborate with enterprise architects to align infrastructure with business needs.
• Design innovative, scalable, reliable media solutions and document specifications.
• Provide tech leadership and coaching to media and IT staff.
• Conduct studies of latest media technologies and propose optimizations.
