Job summary

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a Combined Laboratory / X-Ray Technologist I to perform a range of diagnostic procedures across laboratory and imaging disciplines at Lacombe Hospital. The role supports patient care in rural site settings, handling specimen collection, testing, X-ray procedures, ECGs and result reporting.

The position requires a CLXT diploma with active or eligible ACCLXT registration, and strong communication within inter-professional teams.

Qualifications

• Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT).
• Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in both laboratory and diagnostic imaging.
• Collect and analyse biological specimens, conduct X-ray examinations and ECGs.
• Prepare patients, venipuncture and micropuncture; report results.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; perform quality control procedures.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced rural site.
