Job summary

Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) seeks a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I to operate in rural sites and contribute to high-quality patient testing and imaging services. The role requires performing lab analyses, X-ray exams, ECGs, and reporting results while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

You will work as part of an inter-professional team, handle venipuncture, specimen handling, and participate in quality control, equipment maintenance, and ensuring timely

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited CLXT program.
• Active or eligible for registration with the ACCLXT.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory and X-ray procedures, typically in rural sites.
• Collect venipuncture and specimen analyses; report results.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and routine quality control procedures.
• Provide patient care, radiation protection, and enforce ALARA principles.
• Assist in training staff and students and participate in safety policies.
