Job summary

BDO Canada LLP is seeking an Intermediate Accountant in Red Deer to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team. You will own compilation engagements and prepare tax returns for corporate, personal, trust, and partnership files, while building strong client relationships.

You will support managers and partners, identify issues, and contribute to high-quality service delivery in a fast-paced environment across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in the public accounting industry.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare compilation engagements, including year-end working paper files, financial statements, and supporting documentation for clients in various industries.
• Prepare and review corporate (T2), personal (T1), trust (T3), and partnership tax returns.
• Prepare information returns and slips, including T4, T4A, T5, and related CRA filings.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and communicate accounting matters clearly.
• Identify and resolve accounting and bookkeeping issues while supporting managers and partners.
