Job summary

Agentis Capital Advisors in Toronto is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to support accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for multiple infrastructure SPVs across Canada and the U.S. You will partner with Finance Managers and junior staff to own month-end close, analysis, and process improvements.

You will gain exposure to financial modelling, contract management, and technology-driven reporting. A CPA path and IFRS/US GAAP knowledge are valued as you contribute to a growing Asset

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA designation toward is preferred.
• Working knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and/or ASPE.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in technology, automation, and using AI tools to improve accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and quarter-end accounting for multiple infrastructure SPVs, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reporting packages and variance analyses.
• Support financial and contractual compliance reporting for lenders and investors.
• Coordinate year-end audit work papers with external auditors and assist with tax filings.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and reporting using AI and automation.
• Mentor Staff Accountants and collaborate with Finance Managers on reporting and ad hoc analyses.
