Jacobs is seeking an Equipment Specialist HVDC/FACTS to support and lead HVDC-related projects globally from our Canadian operations in Ontario. The role involves working with Jacobs’ HVDC experts to advance projects, support business development and proposal efforts, and engage with generation developers and utilities.

The ideal candidate will bring strong HVDC/FACTS knowledge, prior exposure to design studies and FAT/SAT, and readiness to collaborate across disciplines in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical high-voltage engineering with emphasis on HVDC/FACTS.
• Knowledge of electrical design/studies and functional/technical specifications.
• FAT/SAT commissioning related to HVDC systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist clients in HVDC project technology selection and scope.
• Lead technical/functional/performance specification development for HVDC/FACTS projects.
• Assist in conceptual, pre-FEED and FEED level design studies and drawings; liaise with vendors.
• FAT/SAT witness testing and other project support activities.
