Hydro Ottawa in Ottawa, ON seeks a GIS/CAD Technician to prepare and maintain GIS and CAD drawings, and to develop and maintain the GIS and OMS. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and collaboration with engineering and field teams.

Responsibilities include producing construction drawings, maintaining records, and coordinating with internal clients and external consultants. A hybrid work model is offered, with location in Ottawa.

Qualificações

• Post-secondary education in GIS, civil engineering, or cartography.
• Experience using CAD software.
• Experience developing or maintaining a GIS or digital mapping system.

Responsabilidades

• Produce and revise electrical and civil engineering drawings, GIS baseplans and as-built records per Hydro Ottawa standards.
• Create construction drawings for new residential, commercial, overhead, underground projects.
• Maintain GIS attributes for outage management, planning and records management.
• Develop and maintain schematic/operating maps for distribution and sub-transmission systems.
• Update record databases to ensure accuracy and integrity.
